First up: the ninth annual Winter Wildlands Backcountry Film Festival, which will debut in Boise before making more than 100 screenings worldwide. Ten films are on the agenda, but the most talked about is sure to be Sweetgrass Productions' "Valhalla," a psychedelia-tinged journey that includes two minutes of naked outdoor enthusiasts shredding powder. In the words of George Costanza: Shrinkage!
Bash from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at The Outdoor Exchange, 1415 W. Grove St., Boise. Food trucks, music by Vinyl Preservation Society, free New Belgium beer, giveaways. Pedal parade will get you to the main event.
