Moscow parole violator captured

October 31, 2013

— A convicted felon wanted for absconding from parole have been found at a Moscow laundromat, Idaho Department of Correction officials said.

Stephen Andrew Edgeman, 25, failed to check in with his parole officer Sept. 18. When officers went to his home, they realized he had moved out.

Investigators said the man had threatened to kill law enforcement officers. Edgeman was doing his laundry when Latah County Sheriff's Office deputies and Moscow Police Department officers caught up with him.

The suspect was wearing a long black wig and carrying a knife when he was arrested, officials said.

Edgeman was convicted in 2007 of grand theft and forgery, but received a suspended sentence. He was set to be finished with parole in December 2015.
