Early voting ends Friday in the Treasure Valley

Statesman staffOctober 31, 2013

If you want to avoid making a stop at your polling place on Election Day, then be one of the Treasure Valley's early voters. Ada and Canyon county residents may vote in person at their county elections office through Friday. Ada early voting takes place 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 400 N. Benjamin Lane in Boise; Canyon early voting is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1102 E. Chicago St. in Caldwell.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot has passed. If you have already received one, it must be returned by 8 p.m. on Election Day. As of Wednesday, 3,400 absentee ballots had been filed in Ada County.

Election Day Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Look up where you vote via www.idahovotes.gov or call Ada at 287-6860 or Canyon at 454-7562.

Not registered to vote? You may register during early voting or on Election Day at your polling place.

Of course, it always helps to know what — or who — you're voting for. Our detailed election guide features candidate profiles for contested races throughout the Treasure Valley.

We'll also include a five-page voter guide in this Sunday's Insight section.
