State analysts cannot say with certainty why it’s happening, but Idaho collected $15.9 million more tax revenue in September than was expected.

The Idaho Tax Commission says corporate income tax revenues have risen 22.3 percent, individual income tax revenues have climbed 3.2 percent, and sales-tax revenues have climbed 4.9 percent — a gain of $36 million combined so far in the fiscal year that began July 1.
