On Oct. 23, Idaho’s technology community welcomed two more Idahoans into the Technology Hall of Fame and honored companies and individuals with Idaho Innovator Awards.

This year’s Hall of Fame inductees into the 4-year-old Hall of Fame were Boston Technologies founder Greg Carr, now a full-time philanthropist, and prolific inventor and Keynetics founder Tim Barber.

Idaho Innovation Awards were presented to CradlePoint for Commercialized Innovation of the Year, Idaho National Laboratory for Early Stage Innovation of the Year, Kount for Innovative Company of the Year, and FieldSync’s David Cohen for Innovator of the year.

Keynote speaker Richard Belluzzo, former president and COO of Microsoft, spoke of his years with Hewlett-Packard in Boise and urged technology leaders to “embrace disruption.”
