Week kicked off with record-breaking wetness in Boise

October 28, 2013

— Rain, rain and more rain started off the week in Boise - and it was enough to break the rainfall record for Oct. 28 set in the 1920s.

Boise had .63 inches of rain by Monday evening, smashing the old record of .48 inches recorded in 1924.

Tuesday will bring clear skies, but the sunshine will do little to warm the Treasure Valley. Highs for the day will hover right around 54 degrees.

Wednesday and Thursday will see similar temperatures, but Boise should heat up slightly by the weekend: Friday and Saturday could hit the high 50s and low 60s, with a promise of sunny skies.

A 30 percent chance of showers Saturday night will dip to 20 percent Sunday morning, but temperatures will be back in the low 50s once more.
