Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State soccer team suffers first home loss

BOISE - San Diego State scored in the 81st minute to seal a 1-0 victory Friday. Boise State (10-6-2, 4-3 Mountain West) falls to 3-1-2 in home games. The Broncos host New Mexico at noon Sunday.

BOISE STATE SWIMMING AND DIVING: Utah defeated the Broncos 188-112 in Salt Lake City. BSU's Brittany Aoyama won the 50-yard freestyle, and Felicity Cann won the 200-yard freestyle.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO MEN'S BASKETBALL: Montana Western, the defending Frontier Conference champion, spoiled Scott Garson's coaching debut with a 100-92 win in Dillon, Mont. Antonio Garrett had a career-high 26 points and 11 rebounds for the Coyotes.

C OF I MEN'S SOCCER: Evergreen defeated the Coyotes 3-0 in Olympia, Wash. The C of I dropped to 4-10 and 4-6 in the Cascade Conference.

C OF I VOLLEYBALL: The Coyotes defeated Warner Pacific 25-15, 25-23, 25-10 in Caldwell. Kylee Nawahine led the C of I (11-9, 11-2 CCC) with 12 kills and 11 digs.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE VOLLEYBALL: The Crusaders (11-5, 7-3 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) handed Alaska Anchorage its first loss in GNAC play with a 17-25, 25-23, 25-9, 25-22 win late Thursday in Anchorage.
