A 22-year-old man was Tasered and arrested Friday night in Garden City after police said he damaged vehicles by jumping on them - including a Garden City police pickup.

Shortly after 5 p.m., Garden City police responded to the area of Glenwood Street and Expo Idaho after receiving a report of a man jumping on a vehicle. When they arrived, they said they saw Eric Finnegan running through traffic on Glenwood and into the parking lot of a business in the 5100 block of Glenwood.

Finnegan then ran into a business and laid on the floor briefly, police said.

After he into the parking lot, police said Finnegan climbed on top of a pickup and jumped up and down, moved on to a car and did the same thing, then jumped on top of the police pickup.

Finnegan was subdued with a Taser after being noncompliant with officers' demands.

Ada County paramedics were called in to evaluate Finnegan, who police said made statements that led officers to believe he had ingested illegal narcotics. Police said there was an unknown substance in Finnegan's possession.

Finnegan was treated at Saint Alphonsus, then booked into the Ada County Jail on the following charges: three counts of malicious injury to property, being under the influence of drugs in public, disorderly conduct and resisting and obstructing officers.
