Macklemore & Ryan Lewis perform Oct. 25 at Taco Bell Arena.

  • Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

7 p.m. Oct. 25, Taco Bell Arena, 1401 Bronco Circle, Boise. $29, $35, $40 and $47.50. Boise State Tickets. Opening: Talib Kweli, Big K.R.I.T.

Last October, Seattle rapper Macklemore and his musical partner, Ryan Lewis, released their debut album, "The Heist." They've now sold almost a million copies, not to mention 7 million copies of a song about a "Thrift Shop."

They inspire 8 1/2-hour "Same Love" kissing marathons (at least in Boise), and they perform in arenas.

For their young fan base, this weekend's show is one of the bigger hip-hop events to hit Idaho in years - even if, as Rolling Stone noted in an August cover story, they gained an early reputation as "hip-hop for people who don't like hip-hop."
