Man charged with DUI after backing car into Boise bar

October 24, 2013

— A Kuna man is in Ada County Jail after police say he drove into a wall as he tried to leave a bar in the 600 block of South Vista.

Antonio V. Carone, 37, was backing up his car in the bar’s parking lot just before 2 a.m. when he struck the wall, causing minor damage to the building and his vehicle, police said.

Officers said Carone appeared very intoxicated and failed several field sobriety tests. He was determined to have a blood-alcohol content of 0.21/0.21 during a breath test.

Carone was arrested and booked into Ada County Jail. Because Carone has previous DUI convictions from 2007 and 2008, he was charged with a felony.

Carone is scheduled to appear in court Thursday afternoon.
