Chick-fil-A plans to build a new restaurant in Boise where Hooters is now located, according to a permit filed Tuesday with the city.
The chicken-sandwich restaurant chain plans to build a 4,825-square-foot restaurant with a drive-through window at 8000 W. Franklin Road in Boise. That's about 700 square feet smaller than the Hooters restaurant.
Chick-fil-A has opened two new restaurants recently at Broadway Avenue and Front Street in Downtown Boise and in the new Village at Meridian center on Eagle Road in Meridian.
The Hooters property owner, based in North Dakota, signed a document Oct. 20 giving permission to Chick-fil-A to file its application.
