Idaho colleges: BSU women’s golfers finish second in California

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Three Broncos placed in the top 10 at the Colby Invitational at Silver Valley Country Club on Tuesday. McKenzie Ford (71-80, +7) and Sammie Pless (79-73, +8) matched their career bests, finishing tied for fourth and seventh, respectively, and Samantha Martin (76-80, +12) registered her team-leading third top-10 finish of the season, concluding the tournament tied for 10th. Santa Clara beat Boise State by one stroke.

BSU WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY: Emma Bates is the Mountain West women’s cross country athlete of the week.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO VOLLEYBALL: Lewis-Clark State beat the Coyotes 25-14, 25-22, 13-25, 25-22 in Lewiston.
