A 63-year-old man faces multiple charges after police said he slammed into a building in Caldwell Monday afternoon.

Police said Miguel Felix drove his 1997 Dodge Caravan into a two-story building at 701 Arthur St. just before 3:30 p.m. as he was leaving to go home.

Felix then backed up and took off, police said, and he was tracked down several blocks away the area of Freeport Street and Centennial Way.

Felix was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, open container, leaving the scene of an accident and carrying a concealed weapon.

No one was injured.

Police estimate that the building sustained $50,000 in damage, and the Caravan appeared to be totaled.
