Tampa Bay running back Doug Martin, a former Boise State star, will miss the remainder of the NFL season with a torn left labrum, according to NFL.com.

Martin's shoulder was hurt during the third quarter of Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He's the Bucs' leading rusher.

He had said after the game that his shoulder wasn’t separated.

“Just have to hope for the best,” Martin said before learning the seriousness of his injury.
