Celebration of life for Boys & Girls Clubs' William Moseley

October 19, 2013

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County, which William Moseley supported through a $520,000 donation toward an expansion of the group's Garden City facility, will be remembered Oct. 28 at the center that bears his name.

The celebration of life will take place at 10 a.m. at 610 E. 42nd St. in Garden City.

Moseley, 89, died Oct. 7 of natural causes.

He was the owner of WH Moseley Co. a food brokerage company. He also operated a real estate business.

Moseley was introduced to the Boys & Girls Clubs by a friend in 1998. He returned several times a month to help and later joined the board of directors and served as the board president.

He and his late wife, Martha, provided money for the building expansion. In a 1999 Statesman story, he said it was his family's largest charitable donation. The club later honored the couple by renaming the facility the Moseley Center.
