Idaho colleges roundup: College of Idaho volleyball clinches postseason berth

CALDWELL — Emily Ottinger had a match-high 16 kills and Janel Porter had a career-high 38 digs as the Coyotes topped No. 9 Eastern Oregon 25-19, 25-15, 19-25, 25-23 on Friday in Caldwell. The C of I (10-8, 10-2 Cascade Conference), advances to the postseason for the 15th straight season.

BOISE STATE MEN’S TENNIS: Andy Bettles advanced to the singles semifinals at the USTA/ITA Mountain Region Championships in Las Vegas. Teammates Thomas Tenreiro and Garrett Patton lost in the quarterfinals. Boise State has advanced two of its three doubles teams — Bettles/Tenreiro and Patton/Brendan McClain — into Saturday’s quarterfinals.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Seniors Megan Hingston and Chelsie Luke (Meridian High) are unanimous selections on the GNAC coaches preseason all-conference team.
