One injured in hit-and-run crash near St. Luke's

— A Twin Falls woman has been charged in an hit-and-run crash that sent one person to the hospital early Friday morning.

Spokeswoman for the City of Meridian Natalie Podgorski said that Becky Ann Cresto, 44, was driving south in the northbound lane of Eagle Road near St. Luke’s Medical Center just before the crash happened. When Cresto veered back into the correct lane, she sideswiped a car that was also headed south.

Podgorski said the suspect did not stop after the crash.

“Her car was pretty badly damaged,” she said. "She drove away, but officers were able to able to find her a short time later.”

Police found Cresto minutes after the crash, Podgorski said.

The driver of the other car was injured in the wreck, and was transported to the hospital.

Cresto was arrested and charged with felony leaving the scene of an injury accident and felony aggravated DUI. She was booked into the Ada County Jail, and is set to appear in court Friday afternoon.
