Burglary suspect nabbed in the act

October 15, 2013

— A Boise woman was arrested Saturday night after breaking into a medical facility, police say.

Officers were responding to a building alarm in the 800 block of North Liberty when they spotted Kristine Marie Dunnigan, 43. Dunnigan was leaving the building through a back door, police said. When officers called out to her to stop, she took off running.

The officers caught up to Dunnigan after a short chase on foot and took her into custody. Police said there was evidence that the woman had entered the building through a window and tried to break into a safe.

Police found syringes that had been taken from the building as well as burglary tools.

Dunnigan was booked into the Ada County Jail early Sunday morning. She has been charged with felony burglary, and misdemeanor counts of resisting or obstructing, and possession of burglary tools.

She will make her first court appearance Tuesday afternoon.
