Mayor Dave Bieter and Boise City Council President Maryanne Jordan came before the Idaho Statesman Editorial Board Oct. 1 to make their case for passage of the $16.9 million Public Safety Bond and the $15.5 million Bond to improve parks and purchase open space. They discussed hurdles to passage -- such as the two-thirds majority vote -- and some of the support they have garnered from the community to overcome it.
