Meridian shuts out Timberline

Bryson Stout returned a kickoff 95 yards and the Meridian defense returned a fumble for a touchdown — all in the third quarter — as the Warriors defeated the Wolves 14-0 on Thursday night at Dona Larsen Park.

Stout also had a game-high 85 rushing yards on 18 carries and was 5-of-13 passing for 74 yards as Meridian (1-5) picked up its first win of the season.

Riley Amundson led Timberline (3-3) with five catches for 95 receiving yards.
