Idaho Steelheads open training camp with 22 on roster

BOISE — Idaho hit the ice at CenturyLink Arena on Monday with five new players, including forward Jeremy Yablonski. The Boise resident, who was invited to training camp, has played with the Steelheads twice before. As an enforcer, he has 491 penalty minutes in 113 games with Idaho and another 939 at the AHL level in a career that dates to 2000. Idaho also has agreed to terms with forwards Tommy Grant and Justin Mercier, and has invited forward Nick Prockow and defenseman Jay Taylor to camp. The list of players in training camp Monday:

Goaltenders: Josh Robinson and Pat Nagle.

Defensemen: Taylor, Colin Dueck, Connor Goggin, Dalton Reum, James Isaacs, Mike Beck, Tyler Elbrecht and Etienne Boutet.

Forwards: Yablonski, Grant, Prockow, Mercier, Anthony Nigro, Brett Robinson, David deKastrozza, Gaelan Patterson, Grant Blakey, Tyler Gron, William Rapuzzi and Jesse Todd.

The Steelheads open the season Oct. 18 at Utah, and play their home opener Oct. 23 against San Francisco.
