No injuries in helicopter crash west of Nampa

A pilot walked away with only minor injuries this morning after crashing his helicopter on a property near Lone Star Road and Middleton Road west of Nampa.

Officers from the Canyon County Sheriff's Office and Nampa police responded after receiving a report of a helicopter crash at 9:20 a.m.

The pilot, who was not publicly named, was alone in the aircraft. No one on the ground was injured.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. The National Transportation Safety Board is in charge of the investigation.
