Weekend forecast: Sunny skies, warmer weather will make a return

October 3, 2013

Boise and the Treasure Valley might finally get a few days of consecutive sunshine.

After more than a week of on-again, off-again rain showers, the weekend forecast for the Boise area looks decidedly sunny. Of course, residents will have to navigate Thursday's spotty showers before the clouds finally give way to consistently clear skies.

Thursday's high temperature of 57 degrees will rise just slightly to 59 degrees under sunny skies Friday. The warming continues Saturday, with a forecast high of 63 degrees, and then again Sunday and Monday, when the thermometer will top out near 70 degrees both days, according to the National Weather Service's Boise forecast office.

Overnight lows will remain in the 30s through Saturday night, and then rise to the mid-40s Sunday and Monday nights.

The average daily high temperature in Boise in early October is about 70 degrees, with the average daily low in the mid-40s.
