Boise Airport passenger traffic falls, but freight rises

Statesman staffOctober 1, 2013

With more than 1.7 million total passengers flying into and out of the Boise Airport so far this year, the airport’s passenger business is just slightly higher than it was by the end of August 2012.

Passenger traffic fell in August by 4 percent.

But the airport, in its recent counts, stacks that up against some “peer city” numbers for August. Boise’s slump didn’t look so bad when the airport compared it with Little Rock, Ark., Oklahoma City and Spokane, whose passenger numbers fell between 5.3 percent and 7.4 percent.

Charts show passenger and freight traffic.
