Ada County Pet of the Week: Brandy the retriever

October 1, 2013

Brandy, 11, is a spayed female, blonde, golden retriever.

Like many older dogs, she is anxious and confused about being in the shelter environment. Once away from the noise of the kennels and given some one-on-one attention she quickly calms down and becomes very loving. She will thrive as a loyal companion in a comfortable, predictable home environment where she is lavished with attention.

Brandy weighs about 90 pounds, and a home that will give her consistent daily exercise and a light diet will do wonders for her. Brandy would prefer a home where she can be indoors with her people. She gets along well with dogs of all sizes and cats.

Brandy can be found in kennel 402 (#11410086) at the Idaho Humane Society at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.
