Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State volleyball upends Fresno State

FRESNO, Calif. — The Broncos knocked off rival Fresno State 16-25, 26-24, 26-24, 17-25, 15-13. It was the 11th time in the past 12 meetings the teams battled through five sets. Alyssa Gammel led the Broncos (7-6, 2-2 Mountain West) with 16 kills and two blocks, and Sarah Horton had 11 kills and three blocks.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO VOLLEYBALL: The Coyotes rolled to a 25-14, 25-15, 25-13 win over Oregon Tech in Caldwell one night after seeing their record 73-match conference home win streak end. Sofia Anxo led the C of I (5-8, 5-2 CCC) with 14 kills.

C OF I MEN’S SOCCER: Concordia rolled the Coyotes 8-2 in Portland. Tyler Lawton and Joe Bolin scored for the C of I (1-7-0, 1-3-0 CCC).

NORTHWEST NAZARENE MEN’S SOCCER: The Crusaders picked up their first win, defeating Saint Martin’s 2-1 in Lacey, Wash. Jaime Torres and Freddy Razo scored for NNU (1-3-3, 1-2-1 GNAC).

NNU WOMEN’S SOCCER: Seattle Pacific beat the Crusaders 3-0 in Seattle. Argia Phillips made four saves for NNU (1-5-1, 0-3-1 GNAC), which was outshot 12-6.

NNU VOLLEYBALL: Alaska Anchorage ended the Crusaders’ win streak at six games with a 20-25, 25-19, 25-13, 25-18 win in Nampa. Andrea Terpstra and Elayna Rice had 15 and 13 kills, respectively, for NNU (7-3, 3-1 GNAC).
