Boise woman charged with DUI after crash through gas station window

September 24, 2013

— A Boise woman has been charged with a felony after police say she drove into the front of a business Saturday afternoon.

Police say Evelina Igor Bennett, 33, was intoxicated when she crashed through the front glass window of a gas station in the 100 block of South Broadway.

When an officer arrived at the scene, Bennett's car was sitting in the middle of the lot. Witnesses told police they had seen Bennett drive the car into the front of the business. The officer said that Bennett smelled strongly of alcohol and appeared intoxicated.

She was arrested for DUI after failing several field sobriety tests. A breath test at the Ada County Jail revealed Bennett’s blood alcohol content to be .395/.382.

The suspect has convicted of DUI in 2006 and 2007, making this charge a felony. She remains in the Ada County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
