Statesman staffSeptember 24, 2013

Wages for Idahoans across all occupations during 2012 gained a little from 2011, but the state’s national standing for median wages dropped from 43rd to 45th, according to the government’s latest Occupational Employment & Wage Survey. All but one of Idaho’s neighbors fared much better: Washington is No. 6 for median wage, Wyoming 13th, Oregon 18th, Nevada 27th and Utah 29th. The Gem State still leads Montana, No. 46.

In the past decade, Idaho’s median wage has fallen from more than 95 percent of the national median to 87 percent.

See how Idaho's average and median wages stack up against those in other states.
