Meridian woman faces felony for helping bank robbery suspect hide

September 23, 2013

— A Meridian woman who police say helped a bank robbery suspect avoid capture was arrested Friday night.

Police said 31-year-old Kasey Ann Blackburn, also known as Kasey Ann Moss, helped Boise bank robbery suspect Jacob Dial avoid arrest. Blackburn was with Dial when he was captured at a Meridian restaurant.

Dial faces felony robbery charges after police said he demanded cash from a Boise bank Thursday and a credit union earlier Friday.

Dial got away from both businesses with an undisclosed amount of money, police said. Detectives said Blackburn knew Dial was wanted by police, and helped him hide. Blackburn also had a small vial of a white substance that tested positive for methamphetamine when she was found. Blackburn was booked into the Ada County Jail on Saturday morning. She faces felony charges of harboring a fugitive and possession of a controlled substance.
