Idaho State Police are investigating a fatal wreck that occurred Thursday north of Marsing.

ISP said it investigated a three-vehicle crash at about 12:23 p.m. The crash happened at the intersection of Idaho 55 and Williamson Road.

Here's what investigators said happened:

• A 2010 Hyundai Elantra was southbound on Idaho 55, while a 1998 Ford F250 pickup was heading north on the highway.

• The pickup hit the car as the Elantra's driver tried to turn left onto Williamson. The Elantra was pushed into another vehicle that was stopped at the stop sign.

• The male passenger in the Elantra died of injuries suffered in the crash.

All those involved were wearing seat belts, ISP said.

The names of the man who was killed and others involved in the crash had not been released late Thursday.
