Driver cited after running over pedestrian's foot

— A man was taken to the hospital after he was hit crossing 12th Street at the State Street intersection Wednesday morning.

Police said a Boise woman headed east on State Street at 7 a.m. failed to yield to the pedestrian, striking him and running over his foot.

Paramedics responded to the scene, and transported the man to St. Luke’s Medical Center. His injury is not life-threatening.

The driver was cited for failing to yield, and received a $90 ticket.
