Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State soccer sets school records in victory

GRAND FORKS, N.D. —The Broncos defeated North Dakota 3-1 on Sunday. Kayla Tucker, Ashley Hruby and Rebe Wolverton scored for BSU (4-2-2), which finished the game with a record 37 shots. Goalkeeper Maddy McDevitt also set a record for minutes before allowing a goal (451).

BSU MEN’S TENNIS: Senior Andy Bettles defeated Soren Hess-Olesen from the University of Texas 6-2, 7-5 to claim the championship at the Midland Racquet Club Intercollegiate Invitational in Midland, Texas, on Sunday. Bettles, ranked No. 21 in the nation, also advanced to the final of the doubles competition with Brendan McClain. The duo lost to Wichita State’s Illija Curic and Tin Ostojic 8-3. In the singles consolation final, Garrett Patton defeated Rodolfo Bustamante of TCU 6-2, 7-5.
