Idaho 55 reopened after mudslide

September 14, 2013

The highway was reopened south of Horseshoe Bend after a mudslide had caused a section of the highway to close about 6:15 p.m. today between Spring Creek Way and Old Horseshoe Bend Hill Road,

Harris Creek Road, which hooks into Highway 55 south of town, remained open.

Motorists had been urged to use Idaho 52 from Emmett to Horseshoe Bend to access Highway 55 headed north.
