Join poet and former Idaho Statesman columnist Judith McConnell Steele for a reading and signing party to celebrate her first novel “The Angel of Esperança” (Mill Park Publishing, $14).

Set in Brazil, Steele weaves a mythic tale of love, tragedy, faith and redemption.

Helena, a young wife and mother, takes to her remote tower as she’s consumed by grief, guilt and madness after calamity befalls her family.
