Boise woman arrested for 'hosing' house

Michelle Elizabeth Allison, 46, allegedly pushed a garden hose and sprinkler through a doggie door into the home of a residence in the 5300 block of West Albion Court on Aug. 31.

The sprinkler was turned on and ran for several hours, causing extensive water damage to the home's furniture, carpeting, sheetrock walls and other belongings, according to the Boise Police Department.

Cleaning up the mess and repairing the damage will cost at least $15,000, the department said. That's a conservative estimate, police spokesman Chuck McClure said.

Investigators determined that Allison, who was involved in an ongoing dispute with the victim, was responsible for the vandalism.

The suspect was arrested Wednesday and taken to the Ada County Jali, where she was charged with malicious injury to property. She is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon in Fourth District Ada County Court.
