Boise at Borah (Dona Larsen Park), 7 p.m.

Last year’s matchup between these two teams is proof that anything can happen in the 5A SIC. Boise defeated Borah 38-24 in both teams’ 2012 season opener, but the Lions went on to win a share of the league title and a state playoff berth, while the Braves finished with two more wins the rest of the way. Last week, Boise played strong in the first half against Eagle before losing ground in the second half of a 48-24 loss. Borah is coming off a 49-27 win at Meridian.

Rocky Mountain at Meridian, 7 p.m.

Rocky Mountain has averaged a league-leading 57.5 points in its first two games as senior quarterback Riley Bradshaw has passed for 548 yards and rushed for 167 with nine total touchdowns. Quarterback Bryson Stout accounted for three of Meridian’s four touchdowns in last week’s loss to Borah. Rocky Mountain edged Meridian 32-28 last season.
