Eastbound Idaho 44 in Eagle back open after crash sends motorcyclist to hospital

Eastbound Idaho 44 was blocked from State Street to Idaho 55 Wednesday night because of a car vs. motorcycle crash.

After being blocked for a few hours because of a pickup vs. motorcycle crash, eastbound Idaho 44 from State Street to Idaho 55 in Eagle was reopened late Wednesday.

The crash happened near Idaho 44 and Linder Road, and the Ada County Sheriff's characterized the wreck as "serious."

Witnesses told Eagle police that a motorcyclist hit a pickup in a construction zone, the sheriff's office said. The male motorcyclist was seriously hurt.

The crash was being investigated by Idaho State Police.
