— A 21-year-old Boise man found Tuesday morning with raw meat, professional knives and liquor bottles with restaurant dispenser nozzles in his possession was tied to a pair of burglaries, police said.

Officers from the Boise Police Department responded at about 6 a.m. to a report of a disturbance at an apartment just east of Ann Morrison Park. They said they found evidence that a man later identified as Cassidy Shane Mylander broke a window in an attempt to gain access to the residence.

Officers found knives, meat, kitchen equipment and the bottles of liquor. They later determined that Mylander had been employed at a local restaurant and that a window at the restaurant had been broken out and that someone had gone inside.

The kitchen and bar area of the restaurant had been ransacked. After contacting restaurant employees, officers determined that the items found at the apartment scene matched items missing from the restaurant.

Mylander was taken to Ada County Jail, where he was charged with burglary. He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Fourth District Ada County Court.
