Boise man injured in motorcycle crash

Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle motorcycle crash on the westbound Milwaukee Street on-ramp to the Connector at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

ISP said Leslie J. Penfold, 59, of Boise lost control of his 2004 Honda while heading west on the on-ramp, crossed to the right shoulder and hit the barrier. Police said the motorcycle slid, coming to rest in the middle of the travel lane. The ramp was blocked for about two hours.

Penfold wasn't wearing a helmet, police said, and he was taken by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. The extent of his injuries was unknown late Tuesday.
