Man faces felony charge for cigarette theft

— A Boise man accused of stealing a pack of cigarettes out of a car Thursday morning is in Ada County Jail facing a felony burglary charge.

Several witnesses told police they spotted Tommy James Croft, 18, open the door of a vehicle parked on South Hilton Street and grab the cigarettes.

The witnesses confronted Croft, who fled from the area, police said. Officers found him at a West Camas Street home, based on information from the witnesses.

The officers recovered the cigarettes at the house and arrested Croft. He was charged with felony burglary, and is scheduled to appear in court Friday afternoon.
