Boise, Eagle meet Thursday at Dona Larsen Park

STATESMAN STAFFSeptember 5, 2013

This is the 5A Southern Idaho Conference season opener for both football teams, and kickoff is 7 p.m. at Dona Larsen Park in Boise. Boise started last season with three victories in a row before falling 38-9 at Eagle.

The Braves are led by senior receivers Skyler Rowe and Cameron Mayne, who combined for nearly 1,500 yards and 14 TDs last season. Eagle, meanwhile, is a projected playoff team based on the Statesman’s preseason coaches’ poll. Among the Mustangs’ top returners are quarterback J.T. Williams, receiver Nick Wheeler, running back Josh Labrador, defensive lineman Paul Semons and linebacker Cole Haxton.
