Idaho State Police are seeking the public's help to aid an investigation into a Utah man's death Saturday, Aug. 31, along Interstate 84.

Jason Richmond, 32, of Midvale was struck and killed sometime between 8 and 8:15 p.m. along Interstate 84 near Glenns Ferry, police said. They said Richmond was helping a tow truck operator remove his 2012 Jeep Patriot from I-84 when he was hit by a 2007 Volvo semi-truck that was pulling a 2011 Great Dane trailer.

The semi was being driven by Volodymyr Boyko, 57, of Portland, Ore.

Police believe people who were traveling in the area at the time may be able to help answer questions that have arisen in the investigation. People who witnessed the incident, or saw the vehicles involved before it happened, you are asked to call ISP Sgt. Sam Ketchum at (208) 884-7360.
