Ada County Pet of the Week: Mellow the cat

September 3, 2013

Mellow, 7, is a neutered male, cream, domestic longhair cat.

Mellow was sadly surrendered to the shelter by owners who were moving into a rental that did not allow pets. Mellow is a big, teddy bear of a cat. His fur is exceptionally soft and he has an easy-going personality. He's a little unsure of himself at the shelter, but warms up quickly with gentle attention. Mellow has always lived as an indoor cat and hopes to have a place safely inside his new owner's home too. His previous owners reported that Mellow has happily lived alongside older children, dogs and other cats.

Mellow can be found in kennel 05 (#20844827) at the Idaho Humane Society at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
