You’ll find everything from kitsch to traditional at September’s First Thursday in Downtown Boise.

Æ Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Art Source Gallery, 1015 W. Main St., with past and present members of the art cooperative, including Reham Pearson Aarti, Dwight Williams and Joyce Green. Lee Penn Sky will provide the music. There will also be cake, along with wine tasting from Indian Creek Winery.

Æ If you’re in the mood for a party, head to Old Boise for the ThisIsBoise.com’s event in the parking lot at 570 W. Main St. You’ll find wine and spirit tastings and music from 6 to 8 p.m.

Æ Discover the work of author and artist Mark Ludy and his latest project — an illustrated retelling of the story of Noah and the Ark. Ludy will be in his studio upstairs at the Union Block Building, 720 Idaho St., Suite 28.

Æ Check out the new Boise Creative Center, 1214 W. Front St., and the Recycled Art Show and Auction from 5 to 8 p.m. Artists from across the valley created a variety of artwork in different mediums from repurposed items. Bid online starting Sept 5 at SecondChanceBoise.org. Artists receive cash prizes. Art sales will benefit Supportive Housing and Innovative Partnerships, which provides positive environments for people in recovery. The artwork will be on display through September.
