Police: Boise man arrested after stealing motorcycle from downtown Boise

August 27, 2013

— A 19-year-old is in Ada County Jail after police say he was spotted pushing a stolen motorcycle down the street.

A citizen called police and reported seeing Matthew Edward McGraw, of Boise, pushing the motorcycle near the intersection of North 10th and West Main streets Monday evening.

McGraw was bleeding from the mouth, the witness told police.

Officers arrived and found McGraw, who police said had been drinking. The motorcycle’s wiring harness had been cut.

McGraw allegedly told officers that he was the owner of the vehicle. During an investigation, officers learned that the motorcycle had been stolen a few blocks away in downtown Boise on Monday morning.

McGraw was arrested and charged with felony grand theft, minor consumption of alcohol, and providing false information to officers. He is set to appear in court Tuesday afternoon.
