Ada County Pet of the Week: Samantha the German Shepherd

August 27, 2013

Samantha, 5, is a spayed female, black and tan, German Shepherd.

This dog has a calm, loving demeanor. Her nice, lower energy level will make her an easy-going companion. She loves to go for walks and is polite on the leash. Between her eagerness to please her person and desire to work for treats, she will be fun dog to train.

Like many German Shepherds, Samantha is a sensitive gal who will benefit from an owner who will work with her to build her confidence and continue her socialization.

She will thrive in a settled home environment with adults or older, respectful children since she will likely find a chaotic atmosphere overwhelming.

Samantha can be found in kennel 312 (#6430112) at the Idaho Humane Society at 4775 Dorman St. in Boise. The shelter is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
