Hawks win at Hillsboro, move into first-place tie

HILLSBORO, Ore. — Jacob Rogers went 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI as Boise defeated Hillsboro 2-1 in front of a crowd of 4,375 fans. The Hawks extended their winning streak to four games, and the two teams stand atop the South Division with 18-12 records in the second half. Boise and Hillsboro have eight games remaining in the regular season, and five of those are against each other. The loss ended a franchise-record seven-game winning streak for Hillsboro, and the Hawks improved to 4-0 at the Hops’ stadium this season.
