City election candidacy filing starts Monday

Declaration forms must be submitted before 5 p.m. on Sept. 6.

City election time is upon us — mark your calendars for Nov 5.

Anyone interested in running for city office can begin their quest at 8 a.m. Monday.

Here is what’s up for election:

ADA COUNTY

Boise: Three City Council seats

Incumbents: Ben Quintana, TJ Thomson and Maryanne Jordan are seeking re-election.

City Clerk: 150 N. Capitol Blvd., 384-3710, www.cityofboise.org

Eagle: Two council seats

Incumbents: John Grasser is not seeking re-election; Jason Pierce has not decided whether he will run.

Garden City: Mayor and two council seats

Incumbents: Mayor John Evans and City Council Members Kathleen Simko and Jeff Souza are seeking re-election.

City Clerk: 6015 Glenwood Street, 472-2905, www.gardencityidaho.org

Kuna: Two council seats

Incumbents: Richard Cardoza is seeking re-election; Doug Hoiland is not.

City Clerk: 763 W. Avalon St., 922-5546, id-kuna.civicplus.com

Meridian: Two council seats and two newly created council seats

Incumbents: Brad Hoaglun and Keith Bird are seeking re-election.

City Clerk: 33 E. Broadway Ave., 888-4433, meridiancity.org

Star: Two council seats

Incumbents: Tammy McDaniel and Gary Smith could not be reached for candidacy status.

City Clerk: 10769 W. State St., 286-7647, staridaho.org

CANYON COUNTY

Caldwell: Mayor and four council seats

Incumbents: Mayor Garret Nancolas and council members Mike Pollard, Dennis Callsen, Rob Hopper and Terrence Bigger could not be reached for candidacy status.

City Clerk: 411 Blaine St., 455-4656, www.cityofcaldwell.com

Nampa: Mayor, two council seats and two newly created council seats

Incumbents: Mayor Tom Dale and council member Pam White are seeking re-election. Council member Martin Thorne is not seeking re-election.

CANDIDATES MUST:

- Live within their respective city limits and be a U.S. citizen, a registered voter and at least 18 years old.

- Submit to their respective city clerk a declaration of candidacy form accompanied by a petition of candidacy signed by at least five qualified city electors or a non-refundable filing fee of $40.
