Hawks belt out 18 hits as they win 27-run slugfest

KEIZER, Ore. - Designated hitter Justin Marra went 4-for-5, hit two homers and drove in four runs as Boise defeated Salem-Keizer 16-11 on Thursday night.

The Volcanoes jumped out to a 9-1 lead after two innings, but the Hawks kept chipping away. They took the lead with a six-run fifth inning, and sealed the win with three runs in the eighth and four more in the ninth.

Jacob Roberts drove in four runs and hit his seventh home run of the season, and Tyler Bremer pitched 1.3 innings to close out the game and earn his seventh save. Salem-Keizer had 21 hits.
