Music Theatre of Idaho presents the epic musical “Les Miserables” as the finale to its summer season. The musical based on Victor Hugo’s sweeping novel follows Jean Valjean (Alan Ellis, pictured), a man cruelly imprisoned for stealing bread. He is released after 20 years, and because of fate and fortune he changes his name and becomes a good citizen but is pursued by the relentless police captain Javert. The story is told through the riveting music of Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil.
